On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at high-res and then scaled down. The camera used was a Canon 450D 12 MegaPixel.

Right then, meet the RV740, what we think will be called Radeon HD 4750. This is an engineering sample, equipped with 512 MB GDDR5 128-bit memory.

There's not a lot we can tell PCB wise, other than... this would be the reference design :) I have no idea if the final cards will get a more standard reference design run of the mill cooler, or this lovely copper cooler, if I'm not mistaken that's a Zalman VF900-Cu VGA Cooler. Quite a sight for the eyes, very silent as well. As far as I am concerned, they can keep it on there, what a lovely product.

But do you see the thin white line just below the cooler on the PCB ? That is typically the outline for the reference coolers ...

When we place the card into a perspective view, the one thing that catches the eye is the cooler. It works quite well actually. Pretty decent temperatures versus a fine noise level, but that remains to be a conclusion by itself with the final products. We stumble into two DVI connectors (HDCP capable). Both dual-link DVI, thus supporting high-resolution monitors.
